Every theme looks good with the demo content in it. The test is what happens when your actual catalog arrives: the product title that runs three lines, the photo shot in a warehouse, the sale banner someone adds in March. We design for the content you actually have, not the content the template was photographed with.
design on shopify
Theme selection, customization, and custom sections — layout, typography, color, spacing — built inside Shopify's section system so your team can edit pages without breaking them. The design decisions are documented as they're made: which tokens control what, and what to touch when the brand changes.
the build is its own service
Design here means the visual and content layer. Checkout, shipping, taxes, markets — the configuration that causes problems six months later — is its own service, and on most projects the two run together. Splitting them on this site is deliberate: they're different work, and pretending one includes the other is how both get done badly.
accessibility and speed are design decisions
Contrast, focus states, and text sizes are chosen at design time, not patched at the end. Same for speed: image weight, font loading, and how much a page animates are design choices with a measurable cost. A page that looks right and loads slow is a design that failed — we treat the numbers as part of the brief.
scoped whole, like everything else
A redesign touches the content team, whoever runs the ads that land on these pages, and the systems feeding them data. It's planned the way we plan everything — whole project, every affected part on the map.
questions
Do you design outside Shopify?
Yes. Plain websites where a store isn't needed get the same treatment — usually still on Shopify for the hosting and editing tools, but a store is not a requirement.
Can you work with our existing brand?
That's the normal case. We apply the brand you have; if you don't have one written down, we document what we build so the next person can follow it.
Do you do logos and full brand identity?
For most small and medium projects, yes — logo, palette, type choices, and a one-page brand sheet the next person can follow. A full identity program — research, naming, brand strategy — is beyond this service, and if that's what you need we'll scope the site to start after it.
