the hard part
isn't the store.
it's everything
behind it.

Shopify and Shopify Plus builds, the integrations that sit behind them, and AI applied to commerce data that actually matters. New Jersey. Working across the US and Europe.

Websites and web stores

We build Shopify and Shopify Plus stores, and regular websites where a store isn't needed. Theme setup and customization, product and content structure, checkout, shipping, taxes, markets and currencies. Most of this is configuration rather than design, and it's the configuration that causes problems six months later.

Shop migration

Moving a store to Shopify from WooCommerce, Magento, BigCommerce or something custom. Products, customers, orders and content have to come across, and the old URLs have to keep working or you lose the search traffic you already had. We map the data and the redirects before anything moves.

Domains, DNS and email

Buying domains and pointing them at the right place. DNS records, and keeping them correct when things change. Google Workspace and Microsoft 365 setup, and moving mailboxes between them without losing history. SPF, DKIM and DMARC configured so your email reaches people instead of their spam folder.

Systems, access and data

Someone needs to know which systems you pay for, who can log into them, and where your data sits. We write that down, close access that shouldn't still exist, and set up how accounts and permissions get handled from then on. Useful before an audit, and necessary after someone leaves.

Process and onboarding

Work that runs on spreadsheets and forwarded email can usually be moved into a system. We look at how a process actually runs, not how the documentation says it runs, then automate the parts worth automating. That includes onboarding and offboarding: accounts and devices ready on day one, and properly closed on the last day.

AI adoption

We help teams start using Claude for real work. Choosing which tasks are worth handing over, setting up access without exposing data you don't want exposed, connecting it to your own systems where that helps, and writing down how people should use it. Part of the job is saying which tasks it isn't good at.

a good fit if

You're on Shopify or moving to it, and the interesting problems are behind the storefront. You have a back-office system that has to agree with your store. You're expanding into new markets. You'd rather have one accountable senior contact than a rotating account team.

not a good fit if

You want the cheapest possible theme install. You want someone to guess at strategy without access to your data. You need a twenty-person team on site next week.

How we work

01 — stack review. Fixed fee, one week. We look at the store, the integrations, the data flowing between them, and the places where it doesn't. You get a written findings document and a prioritized list. It's yours whether or not we work together. From $1,500.

02 — build or fix. Scoped project or continuous sprints, agreed before anything starts. No open-ended hourly.

03 — hand over. Documentation and system architecture written as we go, not at the end. Retainer if you want one. No lock-in if you don't.
